Michelle Delgado is a writer and content strategist based in Washington state.

Each story presents an opportunity to meet people, ask questions, and see the world in a new light. My writing delves into the mysterious histories of everyday things, the fascinating DIY subcultures that shape arts & culture, and more. You can find my journalism online and in print by The Atlantic, Smithsonian, Literary Hub, CityLab, Washington City Paper, and many others. (Read some recent favorites here.)

In 2019, I successfully Kickstarted Summerhouse, an independent magazine celebrating D.C.’s distinctive creative underground in print and digital media. The project featured contributions from 30+ artists and writers, whose work you can read here.

In addition to my work as a journalist, I’m also a skilled content strategist. I currently lead Clever Real Estate’s largest content team, producing local content with an outstanding team of writers, editors, project managers, and data analysts.

I have a BA in American Studies and English from University of Virginia, where I studied digital culture and Modern, Postmodern, and postcolonial literature.
